SAVE THE DATES: Summer on the Cuyahoga Events 2017

It’s time to start marking your calendars for Summer on the Cuyahoga, Cleveland’s annual summer internship program that includes Yale students (Bulldogs on the Cuyahoga, or BOTC) as well as students from seven other partner schools.  Every year, SOTC plans a variety of intern events, many of which are great opportunities for local alumni to meet and mingle with current Yalies who are interested in living and working in the Cleveland area.

Here are some of the alumni-friendly events already on the calendar for summer 2017:

  • Tuesday, June 13: SOTC Opening Reception
  • Saturday, July 15: Cleveland Orchestra at Blossom Potluck and Concert
  • Wednesday, Aug 2: SOTC Closing Reception

Other exciting events are also in the works, including a session where you can learn about becoming a BOTC host, a Yale Welcome Picnic, and a send-off for current Bulldogs and incoming Yale freshmen.  Stay tuned for more details in future newsletters!

YALE ASC: Call for Alumni Interviewers!

YALE ASC: Call for Alumni Interviewers!

Are you interested in interviewing Yale applicants from the Northeast Ohio area? Interview requests have already started to accumulate for this season of admissions! All Yale alums are invited to become interviewers for the Yale ASC (Alumni Schools Committee) and participate in representing Yale in Northeast Ohio and selecting the next class of Yale admits.

Please contact Holly Dickert-Leonard at holly.dickert@att.net if you’re interested in being officially added to the ASC.

The Association of Asian American Yale Alumni of Northeast Ohio

The Yale Alumni Association of Cleveland proudly supports the launch of a new alumni group for our region. The Association of Asian American Yale Alumni of Northeast Ohio (AAAYA-NEO) welcomes anyone and everyone who is interested in Asian and Asian American cultures and in promoting greater communication with Yale University. For our first event, we organized a screening of the documentary Good Luck Soup, a reflection of the Japanese American experience told through on Cleveland family’s history. Here are some pictures from the discussion and reception after the screening.
